Auckland to Coromandel Peninsula Private Tour - Full Day - Highlights: on our 2 ½ hour drive to the east, we roll down through the hills of the south Auckland region and across the vast, rich Hauraki Plains. Reaching the coast, we follow miles of golden sand and rolling surf, until the Coromandel ranges rise majestically before us. We wind through miles of lush native bush and look down on the beautiful secluded bays of the Coromandel Peninsula.
As part of your Private Luxury Full Day Coromandel Tour we can offer a range of activities to create a special Coromandel experience, such as:
- Drive along some of New Zealand's most beautiful coastline with wonderful views along the way;
- Hot Water Beach, one of our most beautiful and unusual beaches, where you can swim in the surf, and/ or dig your own hot pool in the sand at low tide!
- See Tairua along the way, which is an excellent place from which to take a boat or fishing trip;
- A guided sea kayak tour to Cathedral Cove, one of the world’s most beautiful beaches, where you can swim, stroll or simply relax on the golden sand (additional cost of NZ$95 p.p.);
- Thames, an old Gold mining town with a rich history, where you can explore the town’s quaint old streets and buildings;
- Coromandel Town, an old goldmining town with the Driving Creek railway as one of its main attractions (additional cost);
- See some large Kauri trees along the way and learn about these forest giants;
- Miranda Hot Pools, where you can take a last dip before we arrive in Auckland (option for you on the way home)!
We return you to your Auckland accommodation at about 8pm, or at any other time after about 12 hours total (or less if you prefer).
Our Auckland to Coromandel Private Tours can be combined with our Auckland to Rotorua Private Tours as a multi-day tour.
All our Private Tours include pick up and drop off at your Auckland city hotel, our comprehensive, expert and friendly guiding during your tour, as well as a great picnic lunch, snacks and hot/cold drinks for you to enjoy. Also included are all taxes and park fees where applicable.
